Koni or Bilstein?

Koni or Bilstein?
Ok, so now I've narrowed my shock choices to either Koni Yellows or Bilstein Sports. These will be used in a '99 TL with H&R Sport Springs.
I'm not sure if I need the adjustability of the Koni's. I'll only be using them for street and highway driving. Any thoughts?

I had Koni Yellows. Liked them (for my application). But if you are looking purely at the name, Bilstein has a better reputation -- good enough for Porsche and some of the big boys ... good enough for me!
PS Are the Bilsteins you're looking at adjustable? That might be the reason for the difference in price ...

No, I'm looking at the Bilstein Sports which, as far as I know, arent adjustible.

Bilstein Sports aren't adjustable but they are designed for lowering springs. If you're going to spend that kind of money though on shocks I would get KONI's only b/c you have much more adjustment. You have 2 ride height perches and damping adjustment.
If you need a set of either let me know. We sell both.

Someone here to add some REAL information:
Bilsteins are monotube. This type of build is better for smooth dampening and accurate road feel. They also are stronger than conventional twin-tubes. While the Bilsteins are not adjustable they are great for responding to varying road conditions. They can tend to wear out faster than twin tubes though. A bilstein complaint is ofter "shorter life".
Konis we sell a lot of. They are twin tube which means they are less communicative of road feel etc, but they happen to be about the best twin tube you can get this side of a full coilover suspension. Dampening adjustment allows use with a full gamut of springs. Additional ride height adjustment (3 levels on regular koni sports, 5 levels on the Neupseed SP3) makes this option probably better than the bilsteins.
