I need help!

I love my 18in rims but it's pissing me off. I keep bending a rim. The roads going to work is rough. I was thinking about getting 17in rims but I really want to keep these. My tires are 225/40/18. I have tein basics on. Do you guys think I can get a bigger profile tires without rubbing? 45 series? Thanks.

if you keep bending rims, you must be hitting big potholes then. personally i would not go with 45's just because it won't look right. you might just want to stick to stocks or downgrade to 17's with a bigger profile tire.

check with your county...large potholes that cause vehicle damage can be reimbursed by your city/county. Denver and Minneapolis do this for example.

Drive slow around the pothole area and problem solve. If you are on 18in and still get bend rims, then imagine some of us with 19in rims!

If the roads are bad enough, even 17" rims will bent.

Buy a cheap daily driver/winter vehicle. Or stop hitting potholes.

235's will not give you more rubber and has nothing to do with the sidewall. you'd need a different series tire to fix this.

kind of side tracking, but after seeing the 02-03 tail lights everywhere, the yellow 99-01 tails actually look real good.

and the car's hecka clean, i'd granny cruise and avoid potholes over replacing those
