Hankook Tires on 2002 TL-S

Anyone tried these?

Look good and I know a guy in the industry that says they are very high quality, just are inexpensive because they dont have brand recognition yet.

Thinking about buying a set. $320 for the 4.

kumhos are inexpensive as well. They are both Korean and the kumhos usually cost less.

Try reading the reviews for both on tirerack.com.

I have 235/45/17 Hankook Ventus Sport K104 on my '01 TL with the '04 rims. They're good for the price, pretty good but not great dry and wet traction but still tons better than stockie all seasons. I've had them ~12k miles and rotate them every oil change (4k miles) and keep them 32-35psi and so far I've had no problems with them. The treadwear is good too, I measurd it initially at 9/32" and read it now at 5-6/32".

I've read reviews and had friends with Kumho tires that have had problems with feathering but I don't know from my own use, but their prices are still quite competetive.

I would buy again but I like trying different tires everytime I buy and now that I'm a bit better off financially I'm looking towards my all time favorites.... Michelins! Price aside, imo, they're the best.

I have the hankook Ice Bears 235/45/17 on my stock rims. In the summer I have BF Goodrich G-Force 235/35/19 on Koneig Profit rims. The car handles great.

I heard hankook tires are prone to blowout's, but I never found anything to confirm it. Still, I went with Kumho's, and I'm pretty happy with those.

I had Hankook Ventus K104s on my old Lincoln Mark 8, I thought they handled great and were very similar to my Bridgestone Pole Position s-03s that cost almost twice as much. Thread pattern wise they look very similar to Goodyear F1s.
