-- FAQ: wheel rim size "will they fit?" --
#1002
Quick question for all of the experts.
I'm looking at 18 x 8 with 43 offset.
If I get these wheels, what do I have to do? roll the tab? what size of tires would work for our cars.
I'm running on TEIN SS.
Thanks.

So I just posted a thread asking but I might as well post in here to,
I am going for the hellaflush look or just flush, whatever I can do. I am wondering what is the maximum or well minimum offset I can run on my car with clearing the brake caliper in the front, note they are 16'. And then what is the max (min) offset I can run in the rear because I know they are different, again Im looking probably at 16'x7 or 7.5, and yes I am going to have staggered rims, and I heard the stock offset on the 2000 Tl at least is 40, but idk

I dont know if this is the place but I have a 2003 TL and am looking to get some 07-08 Base TL rims.
Now I know all about engine specs and that stuff. But wheel fitment and some aspects of suspension have always baffled me![Tongue](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Now all I know is that the sizes are 17x8 +45
5x114.3
And stock my car is: 6.5" rims with +55 offset and 5x114.3JJ bolt pattern.
I dont know the size of the 'planned' rims but Does that have a big factor on fitting? and how will I know ahead of time if I have to roll the fendor and other factors?
Thanks!

The A-spec wheels and the 3G base 04-08 wheels have the same fitment because they are both 8 inches wide and +45 offset. It's just that the A-specs are 18" diameter, but that doesn't change the fitment. The overall diameter of the wheel and tire will be the same as the base wheels.

18 inch on my TL
I am curious if anyone can help me. I have read the threads and have not really got an answer. I have a 00 TL. I just purchased 18" wheels that are 18x7.5 with a 42 offset and I will be running a 235/40/18. I want to install lowering springs but do not want my tires to rub. I dont want a big drop. maybe 1.0 inch in the rear and 1.5 up front. am i safe or do i need to change my tire size? etc etc. anyone running this combo already? and help would be great.

Currently I have a stock 99 Acura TL...
I want to get either F&F Type 1 or 2's, I wanna be pretty low
I found the perfect wheels that are 20x10 +18 specs, I am going to mount stretch tires, and what type of fender work would be necessary beyond the average roll, and tab cut?
Which coils would be better for me trying to slam as far as I can with those wheels, and me running some camber due to the wide and low offset wheels?
I am new to all this, thanks in advance for your help!

you will have to roll and pull the front and rear fenders, modify rear bumper, cut out metal behind the rear bumper, camber kits, possibly more. get ready for a lot of work.
Type 1 or 2 will help you reach your goal. Type 2 just has adjustable damping.
