-- FAQ: wheel rim size "will they fit?" --
If anyone here could tell me if these will rub... I really want them!
Rim Information:
Rim Brand: DZ
Number of Bolts: 5
Rim Material: Alloy
Rim Width: 7.5
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Rim Diameter: 17
Offset: 40

the rears might be a problem with that wide of wheel and tire...i'd say go with 225/35 in the rear as well and FOR SURE a fender roll and trim tabs...
Would I have any problems running these rims on my '04 automatic TL w/ Aspec body kit? I'm at the stock hieght now but would like to drop it 1"-1.5".
fronts - 19x8 w/46mm offset & 235/35/19 tires
rear - 19x8.5 w/40mm offset & 245/35/19 tires
Could I run a 265/30/19 on the back without any issues?

They should fit fine, my current set up is 19 x 8 +51 all the way around and there is still some room, I do however have my fenders rolled and my tabs cut. So you'll probably have to do one or the other or possibly both... I'm thinking you could probably just get away with cutting your tabs since your offsets are good.
I'm no expert on tire sizes for people pushing the limits on wide rims for a TL. You'll have to do a little reading in this thread. Shouldn't take you no more than 15 minutes to get an idea.
I have an O3 Type S with the OEM kit
I want to fit TL A Specs off an 04, I am told they are 18x8.5, +45 offset.
No drop yet, but I want to get Eibach Pro Kits, 2.1 front, 1.6 rear, I think I will have to cut tabs, do I need a roll? If so, only slightly right? I never have anything in my trunk and rarely more than 1 passenger.

allrighty im lookin at some 18x7.5 with 45 offset. wrapped with either some 225/45/18 or 225/40/18. which tire size should i get its not dropped and if/when i do it wont be dropped much. from what ive read they will fit fine just not sure on the tires.
thanks
thanks
double dee - you should be find with that set up, personally i would go for the 40 series as 45 would be too thick. most people run 225/40/18
my question is- will a 215 on a 19 x 8.5 be alright? again, from what i see on most people's set up, they are running either a 225 or 235 on their 19s.

I'm gonna say ... no way unless you are going to:
a) roll fenders
b) cut tabs
c) run stretched tires
d) crazy camber
I'm sure it will 'fit' but it will most likely not look very appealing unless you are lowered and have a good suspension to accommodate the skinny tires you will have to run to make it work.

You will need a 225/35/19 tire, no way a 235 will clear with that offset, a little camber, rolled rear fenders, and cut rear tabs.
Is that stock or dropped i know i would need it dropped but stock is it going to stick out at all or at most be flush with the fenders. Car has a camber kit already so i can add neg camber if that is needed but i would like to keep it at 0 camber till it is dropped unless it sticks out.
HI, Im new on the site Interested in buying

these are two i found on craigslist:
rims and tires,
18" Maxxim Deadlines in 5x114.3 w/ Khumo tires
specs: 18x7.5 45mm offset ( found on another site)
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/pts/1820178778.html would these be considered low profile? he doesent mention tire size
or:
not named mesh wheels that need tires. what size tires would fit well?

Good luck on your search.
what do you guys think about fitting
19x8.5 +42 or +43
tires: 235/35/19
-the guy im buying them from isn't sure which one it is from those two tho, but all four wheels are same offset.
-i am dropped for f2 coils and thinking about going lower after i get wheels, only if it is possible.
but would this set up fit wit only rolling fenders? or would i have to cut/pull them also?
these are some pic of my drop:

i dont want to run a big negative camber, dont really wanna be changing my tires alot.

I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I'm currently riding on TIEN SS
I'm looking at a set of rim
SPECS: 18 x 8 offset +42mm and hubs of 73.1mm
Can I make this work? And if yes, what size of tire will make this works. Some people are telling me that the front will fit but there will be some rubbing in the rear.
Thanks

The thinner the better ... 225/40/18
You have to trim tabs and roll fenders to ensure you don't rub. A little negative camber might be needed if you slam yourself to the lowest setting.
Good luck with your set-up.

^Sit flush with what? the fender? lol no...
The only thing flush will be how to 225 sits on the 8"
You'll get away without having to roll your fenders/cutting tabs..if you looked back at page 1, you would have known this already

I read it haha I was just confused. I didn't want to post until I read everything and then ask the question.
but thanks for the help :-)
I'm good at engine mods and the like (used to be a civic head) but when it comes to rims and wheels I'm a noob and not ashamed to admit that :-D

I am trying to buy some tires in the Black market.
I have an 03 dropped about 2.25 in front, 1.7 in back.
After alignment, rear camber is about -1.3 degrees
The rims I want are 18x8, running 245/40/18 tires, I would ultimately get 225 tires when these ones wear out, but I was wondering if I could get these to fit with only a roll, or will I need a slight pull as well?
