dropping question

im sorry if this is a dumb question, but my friend was all like your an idiot for paying for springs and shocks, just lower the car using stock springs a few inches. But considering most people here ive seen purchased 3rd party springs and shocks, he was probabbly being dumb. Whats the case?

yes he is being dumb - unless you want to blow up your struts and cause extra wear on your suspension.

get coil overs and camber kits. your not an idiot for paying for springs and shocks, do it right the first time and you wont end up replacing parts down the road.

your friend is probably talking about chopping the springs. changing the spring constants and rebounds. causing your car to drop lower at the expense of comfort. over every bump your car will oscillate constantly, also known as the honda hop.

after that, he'll probably suggest you buy a case of mountain dew, drink it, then turn the cans into an exhaust system.
