Regardless, with 1.75F/1.5R drop, most people didn't need a camber kit. But it depends on the car. It's important to get an alignment a couple of weeks after the springs are installed, in order to determine whether you need a camber kit or not.

With a 2" or more drop, I would say you will probably end up needing a camber kit.
after you get an alignment, stand back about 20 feet from the back of your car and look at your rear tires. If they are angled so that the inside part of the tire is supporting the most weight then you will notice from driving about 5 or 10 thousand miles that the inside of your tires will be wearing a lot faster than the outsides. You can have the tires rotated frequently or you can go out and buy a camber kit to correct teh problem. With a 2 inch drop I'm 95% sure that you will have uneven wear on your tires due to negative camber. This camber problem isn't neccessarily a bad thing. If you plan on autocrossing then the camber issue will help you in turns because as you take a hard turn you will now have all of the rubber planted instead of primarily the inside and middle of the tire.
This isue is not harmful to the car, although lowering your car any amout will cause premature stress and strain on your suspension parts, but as I haev stated there are ways around installing a camber kit.

With a 2" drop, you are right on the borderline.
The only way to tell for sure for any car is to get the drop, and then an alignment making sure you note the camber specs from the printout. On my car with a Tein coilover drop that was a little lower than the Comptech drop, I got along fine with just routine tire rotations, and didnt need a camber kit.

If you have read all that and the provided links, and it still doesn't answer all your camber related questions, I'd be surprised and if and when you are finished reading that and have more questions please ask it here.
