18x8 Et40

So I Have Had My Car For A Month Now And I Have Searched Like Crazy And Goton Alot Of Info But As Much As People Frown On It There Is A Wheel That I Want That Only Comes 18x8 With A 40 Offset. Is There Anyone On Here That Is Running This Size Wheels On A Second Gen?

I ran an 18x8 with a 40 offset for two weeks, in the front only, never tried the back. It rubbed only over large bumps while I was driving too fast. Yes, I was lowered. If you want to run that in the back be prepared to do some major tab cutting/fender rolling.

Tab cutting and fender rolling is a necessity if lowered.

I have 18-8 (235 40s) with 45 offset and still had to do a bit of work to get clearance on bumps.
I am lowered 1.5 inches on Teins, and even stiffened up- its easy to grab some fender lip with the outer tire edge.
Thats part of having 235 instead of 225 which do actually clear- just a little too wide for a TL.
Nothing some rolling -cutting and bending wont cure

Like me! lol

I have 235/45 17s +45 and the day i loaded my trunk I rubbed. Cut the tabs and am pretty sure that I am not rubbing any more.

Add another 5mm to the equation and who knows. You will certainly rub on a big bump or opposed bump; how much is the question.

I have 18 x 8 with +45 offset and 225/40/18 tires and the rear rubbed a lot, just cut the tabs today, the rubbing is lessened.
