03tl-s sway bar bushings

I have a 03 tl-s. Was wondering who sells polyurothane swaybar bushings. I have comptech ones installed on the carfront & rear.I'm hearing a little squeeking coming from them.

Pull them off and grease them.

Most autozones carry energy suspension D bushings. You can get them with the greasable fittings as well

You can also put some layers of teflon tape on the bar where it is covered by the bushing.

Yea, but ES doesn't have them specific for our cars in the front. They make a universal 27mm (fronts) ones that have to be made to fit, mainly the bracket and the round part on the one side of the bushing.

Rears are normal though.

I used these with my REAR Comptech bar, with no modding needed:

Energy Suspension 9-5126G

All polyurethane sway bar bushings squeak. You either have to keep them well lubricated or use Teflon tapes.

Thread bump for my question!

There's been a clunking under my car for about a week. I'm suspecting the bushings. Since I have a crappy small jack, I'd like to drive up the ramps instead.

Can the bushings be removed under load?

Yep! I didn't even raise my car when I swapped the sway bar and bushings. I'm lazy. haha

Ran into some trouble....

One of my front bracket bolts is stripped.

What are my options? Looks like the threads are on a major piece of the frame...

Put a thread insert in it. Something like a heli-coil, although I prefer time-sert brand.

^ Thats what I figured too. But I can't find the specification for the bolt size. It only says "10x18". Is my best bet to bring the bolt to the hardware store and compare?

I'm pretty sure it's 8mm-1.25 pitch with a 12mm hex head. Can't hurt to take to match up.

I looked up some metric bolt specs and I don't think 10x18 is even a conventional bolt spec. I got that off of acuraautomotive site.

I've never had a bolt strip on me, so this may sound like a dumb question. Is it possible for the bolt threads to strip and threads in the hole to be fine? Hoping that they didn't use a high grade steel for the bolt. I would love for this to be the case.
