xs header flange problem

I just opened up my XS headers and the flange isn't even close to square. Also on one of them there's like a pitted area that's dipped in. Is this gonna be a problem? has anyone else who bought these headers had this same prob? Is there anything that I can do to fix this? I don't want to have to send these back because I was trying to get them installed by my friend while I'm home for the week. any help is appreciated. I have a pic but don't know how to attach it.

Yeh, not level. If I lay them on something flat it's not level with it. The gasket won't help with this?

I talked to my mechanic (dopey buddy) and he said it shouldn't be a big problem. I guess I'll see.

You mean the actual flange itself where the donut gasket sits is wavy? or the front and rear flanges arent the same height??

I put these on myself about a month ago with no mechanical skills and it took me forever but whatever. It was the flanges that sit against the block of the motor. seemed like they were pitted or something. Anyways, there's no exhaust leak there so I guess it's fine. I used the stock gaskets and stronger bolts. There is a problem tho -- at about 1600 and 2600 rpms i get this annoying buzz sound and its getting worse. I guess that's the resonance I've seen mentioned. I didn't hook up the hanger because I heard that the tension from doing so might cause resonance. I haven't been able to tighten anything up because i don't have any tools or anything to do so. I know I need to get everything re-tightened but is there anything else I should do? Is not having the hanger hooked up bad? anybody in westchester county NY know where I should get this done? Thanks!

not having it hooked up on the hanger might put too much stress on the headers and cause them to crack

I thought I heard of people taking the hanger out because of resonance and being ok? My mechanic just put in the XS headers for me and he said he could not get the hanger back in there so he left it out.
