Wont Pass 3000RPM

I got a 00' TL that wont pass 3000rpm. When at a dead stop its idling at 500rpm and acting like its gonna cut off but it doesnt. This just happened today CEL and TCS lights are on. It happens when it is cold out but it would always pass 3000rpm. Today was the first time it didnt pass 3000rpm. Can someone please help. Thanks -Rich.

You're going to need to get your codes read because we're not going to be able to tell what's wrong without the DTC.

you are in LIMP Mode, the engine thinks something horrible has gone wrong and limits it to 3k so you can limp off the freeway to a safe area and call the tow truck
do not be cruisinhg around with it like this
maybe coil failure, old plugs plus coil prob,,many things
the warning lights mean far more than what they say

codes are the next step- write them down fully,,P0140 as an example
and any words the parts store may offer with each code
multi cyl misfire is usually an easy fix!

how old are the spark plugs? correct 8 dollar each NGK installed if replaced
ever remove intake manifold to clean out the egr passage and ports?
needed every 75kmiles
