Wiring the remote wire

Hello to all the fellow ziners. I was going to install the aftermarket amp and subwoofer to the stock head unit. In case you guys are wondering what kind of amp and sub I am using. The list of products I am using: Amp is Pioneer GM-A5602 bridged at 450rms@4ohm. Subwoofer is Pioneer TS-W310S4 400rms@4ohm. Ported box Belva Sub Box 1SV12G. The specs are not dead on, but still pretty close. What do you guys think? Here's my plan to get the setup going, I am going to unplug the factory subwoofer and get the rca's from there. Factory amplifier harness will stay plugged in because I am getting the rca's from factory subwoofer.
How do I go about wiring the remote wire? I know that we can get the signal from factory amp harness, but I don't want to splice the original wiring, that's the reason I choose to unplug the factory subwoofer.
I am thinking about using the mini circuit fuse tap for the remote wire, what do you guys think about that idea? This will keep everything perfectly stock.
I didn't posted this in Audio section because it doesn't get too many responses.
