Window Trim Peeling

I noticed that the black trim on my window was crinkled but did not worry about it. Now it has started peeling off.
Is anyone ekse experiencing this peeling problem and what was your solution?

I think he is talking about the black vinyl trim surrounding the windows. Yea, mine did the same thing, so before my warranty expired, I had Acura take care of it for free. They had to send the car off to a body shop to remove the vinyl and paint the trim black.

Exactly, the one inch wide trim around the windows. Not the wide vertical pillars.
I'll try to post a photo later.

My 3 yr / 60 km warranty is over but I thnk my extended comprehensive warranty of 5yr/100Km should have covered it. Isn't a comprehenisve extended warranty suppose to be an extension of the 3yr/60km ??

My car had 55Kmiles on it and I have a CPO and Acura Care 7yr/100K mile warranty and my dealership WOULD NOT cover it. This item I believe can only be repaired under the initial factory 4yr/50K mile warranty.

That's a shame considering it's a known issue with Acura. I bought mine used but it was still under warranty. I didn't bother with it b/c I thought it was just some ghetto job by the previous owner. 40k later the service manager made on offhand comment that it was just typical Acura FUBAR penny pinching.

I think 7yrs/100k miles warranty only applies to transmission.

My car is not under warranty, and the trims starting to wrinkle up. Has anyone repainted the trim themselves? or should I just get a body shop to do it?

Thanks
