Window problem

So I was sitting at a light a couple days ago when I heard a loud snap behind me. I looked back and noticed the rear driver side window had fallen on it's own about half way down, then all the way down as I started moving again.

I took the door panel off and somehow the cable came loose from the window and I can't figure out how or what it is supposed to connect to. Anyone had this happen before or is familiar with these designs? A good diagram would be helpful.

Well first you need to find out if the cable broke or if it just came off. If it did you have to replace the whole regulator assembly.

Best advise i can give you is to take the other door panel off and look at how that one is attached/routed to give you a better idea of how it goes.

The cable doesn't appear to be broken, it looks as if whatever it was attacked to broke or the cable somehow came loose.
