Question Window Fogging

I have a 2000 TL and have had a problem with window fogging from day one. Whenever it's cold, as soon as the heat starts blowing, even if I have it blowing only on my feet, the windows fog immediately and it's a struggle to keep them clear from that point on. It's all windows. I've cleaned the film off the inside of the windows, to the extent possible, but it doesn't help. Has anyone else experienced this?

Go Full Auto

I leave my climate control on 72 FULL AUTO. The program blasts the windshield with cold air before the defroster kicks in so there's no foggning problem. Good Luck.

AC is on...it's actually worse on full auto. Having it blow only on my feet helps minimize the problem.

Leave it on 76 auto(not full auto) and you will notice the window defrost with no prob.

Don't know what you used to clean the windshield, but if it's fogging all the time regardless of weather, it sounds like you still may have a residue on the glass.
Try cleaning it with "prepsol" or some other type of paint prep solvent.

Have you even tried a clean damp cloth? Could just be crap on your window.

As for using the A/C, normally condensation is an issue with humidity within the car (ie dew point according to temperature variation of outside VS inside of glass).

Fogging

Honda's / Acura's have one of the thinnest windshields in the industry. Running the A/C with the defroster has become pretty common knowledge. Like the other threads say run it on full auto 71 - 75 degrees with the A/C on, but also run your defroster. If you dont leave the defroster on, it will fog your windows up. Know this from experience.
