Will bad bearing cause rotor warping?

I am just wondering if the bearings have play in them, will that cause the rotors to warp?

No. Poor quality rotors, Stuck caliper, over torqued wheels. (later being a major cause in it)

Besides the causes you mention that will cause the rotors to warp, I have a bad front bearing, and my question is, driving with a bad bearing will it cause any bad to the rotor?

NO it should not cause the rotors to warp witch is usualy caused by overheating or overtorquing the wheels.

But on the plus side, driving with a known bad wheel bearing will eliminate the shock value of the crash when the bearings sieze or break and the resultant ......Well lets just say I have see some spectacular results make their way into the shop on the hook aka tow truck

When you already know there was a problem - you can deal with the extra expense incurred by not fixing it now

Pay me now or pay me later!

Would you recommend an OEM bearing replacement or an after market bearing? SEems like the OEM one didn't last too long.

Timken bearings are highly regarded in the aftermaket, otherwise use the factory replacements

Maybe your driving style or road conditions are putting extreme wear on your bearings

I would fix it now rather than fix it later if I knew the real problem. The problem is that it is making a grinding noise when I am going at 10mph. I know something is wrong but nothing is obvious to pinpoint the real problem. It is not making any whining or humming noise yet. My first impression would be the bearing because I am going straight, so it could not be balljoint.

jack the car up take the wheel off and look for any thing grinding. Also start it and have a friend put it in gear and listen and try to pinpoint the sound
