Wierd CD Player Error

Okay, so today i was getting gas at the local Getty station and after I fill up, I go to start up like any other normal day.. The car won't turn over. I call AAA, they give me a jump, everythings fine. I get home to eat dinner before work and then I hop in my car to go to work. Car won't start again. I say fuck calling AAA and go and get a new battery. I install the battery fine, car starts right up and everything, no problems.

Then I go to turn on my radio... Since I just bought this car used, I had no idea about the Code entry you need to do after the car is disconnected from the battery. So I look up my code in my manual book.. Punch it in.. Error 1. Again. Error 2. All the way up to Error 10 and it gives me the Error E message.

I call the Acura dealer the guy that previously owned it bought it from. They confirm the anti theft code and tell me to re-disconnect my battery and leave it for 10 minutes, and then reconnect it again, and try putting the code in again.

Well after punching it in another 10 times, and disconnecting it and rehooking it back up like 3 times, I keep getting the same message. I don't know what to do. This is the 3rd car I've had problems with. I'm seriously about to kill someone right now

Give the dealership the number from the back of the radio and they can look in their system for the correct theft code. u should be able to pop off the trim on the center console,(passenger side). and there should be a code that u can give to the dealer, they will look up an exact code for the radio, and that should do it. Let us know if it works.

Check out this thread about unplugging the antenna when the code won't be accepted. BraveDemon has step by step instructions listed:

Thumbs up radio problem

ok, so here is what else you can try.... there is a fuse box under the hood of your car and when you pull it off, there are stickers on the inside, try the five digit # that appears on one of these stickers.

Holy shit that walkthrough BraveDemon posted worked like magic.

The only thing is I cut the shit out of my hands in the process, but oh well, it was worth it

now theres a tiny gap inbetween the woodgrain that im gonna have to glue shut or something but no biggie.
