Wet on Driver Side Carpet 2003 TLs

Any clue as to what can be causing this? The dealer changed the sunroof drain and said it was fixed. I (pretty much) completely dried the rug and padding underneath but the moisture seems to be back. The dealer said they can find no leak (not AC drain) and that the new mositure must be residual from before the sunroof fix. I have my doubts because I dried it so well and now it is wet again. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Mine used to have an occasional leak with heavy rain. I'm assuming it was somewhere around the top driver's side corner of the windshield gasket, it had a small gap between the gasket & the body. I'd get a few drops when making a right turn from the edge of the headliner.

It's stopped on it's own so I never looked into it.

There is an oval shaped plastic Drain/access plug UNDER the spray on sound deadening that is probably the cause of your leaks. I have had it happen to mine on both the drivers side and passenger side. Scrape off some of the deadening pop it out and apply some sort of sealant to it and put it back in place.

Thanks. I would access the drain from under the car or from the cabin?

Cabin. You have to pull the carpet back, then locate where it is under the spray on sound material. I used a sprinkler under the car to help locate my leak when i had one. After a little while you could see water trickling out from under it.

Found a pic i took of mine

Well it seems that it has dried up without me doing anything additional. Hopefully the dealer got it right afterall. Thanks for the assistance.

Well if its not wet/raining outside nothing will leak and it will dry up on its own.
