Unhappy Warped dash vents

Here's a strange question/situation-The driver side dash vent, the one that blows air on the side window, is warped and sticks out. Also, the passenger side air vent sticks up at the far right side, too.

I am thinking about crazy gluing it in place. Is this a bad idea?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It's on an '03 TL-S

I have the same problem and question. Furthermore, the plastic vents near the windshield seem to have shrunk and warped. From outside looking down at the dash I can see the yellow of the insulation. I am not sure if the problem is the dash itself around the vents is shrinking and pulling back or if it is that the plastic vent inserts are warping/shrinking.

Since the car is out of warranty, I cannot get a new dash.

Any rate, has anybody gotten replacement plastic vents? Are they slightly oversized replacements? Or the same size?

Thanks

i would more imagine that your issue is with the dash warping and distorting the shape of the vent, or have you pulled the vent out to confirm it's the plastic?

my dash is warped in the front where the defroster opening is. i use a sun shield in my front window to protect it in the summer. i probably should in the winter too.

I have this same problem on mine and it's looking kind of bad. I asked about replacing the dash while I was still under warranty but the dealership refused. Now I'm out of warranty. I also think it's the dash warping and not the vents. Now if I could just find out how to get bigger vents custom made or something. I hate looking at that yellow foam.

I had the same issue with my driver's side vent, especially the right side. No matter how many times I pushed it back into place, it would eventually pop out a little. I put two small drops of super glue on the underside of vent, and I have not had any problems since (this was 6 months ago). I didn't want to more glue than I had to in case I had to pry the vent out for any reason.

Same problem. Tried using automotive adhesive - it didn't hold. Maybe I'll try the super glue, but would like to hear from anyone else who solved the problem.

Why not buy new vents and install them?
