Exclamation Vtec problem

this problem happened out of no where. my tl-s has 94k on it. when i gas the car the vtec acts sluggish no activate.
i changed the oil thinking maybe theres not enough oil pressure for the vtec to kick in. still the same results.

i do have the abs light on cause of the wheel sensor. does they car maybe put itsef to limp mode until its fixed? i need help badly

Is it VTEC or is it the bypass valve actuator not turning on.
Do the test...

Start the car, keep it in park
Have someone stand in front of the car with the hood open and look at the left side of the intake manifold. There is a gear which will open at ~4000 rpms.
Give the car enough gas to get the rpms over 5K.
Have them check that the gear turns on the intake manifold.
If it doesn't, replace the bypass valve actuator (trace the cable underneath the strut bar to find the actuator motor. That's what you repalce.

Yes, that is the 2nd stage actuator. Its not opening the valve. You need a new one.

Part # 17151-PFW-J02 ACTUATOR, BYPASS VALVE
