rainy day => goes to panic mode

rainy day => goes to panic mode
My car goes into panic mode itself when it is a rainy night. I found my car twice in the last 2 days beeping and flashing in the parking lot. First time the battery was almost dead.

Any reason for this. It as fine for last 3 years.

I LOOKED EVERYWHERE but I could not find DIY for disconnecting the hood switch. Best thing is ask a mechanic or actually got to Acura complain and say a lot of TL owners say this happens a lot to them and get them to clean or deactivate it for free.

Option 2. someone told me that if you lock the car with the key and not the key remote it won't randomly go off. So far so good for me, I think. I'm to nervous to try it all night as I have had complaints of my alarm going off at 4am.

Part grouping #5 (bottom left of image)

See the plug sticking out of the hood latch? Disconnect it and spray the contacts (male and female) with contact cleaner. Go to Radio Shack and buy a can.

Ok, I just worked on this and tried to find this plug. But I could not find it. Is the part that is between 42 and 41, which has no number? I guess that is the one.

What I did was, bought a can of spray brake cleaner, and used on hood latch area (grouping #5). It cleaned pretty well, and now I can see a blue plastic piece, which I believe to be this plug. Let's see whether a this quick cleaning will help. If not, I will try a second attempt to reach that plug if it is the part between 42 and 41.

I also tried unlocking the hood, and lock the car with the remote control. So the security light was blinking. I opened the hood since I left it unlocked. But the alarm did not go off. I suppose it should have, if the sensor works, No?

no....everything has to be shut b4 the alarm is activated....i believe...i say this b4 if my trunk is open i wont hear a beep..if one of the door doesnt lock for som off reason it doesnt beep..if the hood is open is doesnt beep..

so i came to the conclusion that everytin has to be closed to lock...den when its locked itll activate....but by you leaving the hood open its not lettin you activate the alarm....follow me?
