VSA and ! light on
I had this exact same problem...
Now this is going to sound a little over the top, but I had 3 12" speakers in the trunk with several amplifiers drawing plenty of current. If I ever turned it up full tilt, these two lights would come on! I told the shop and they said there was no way that the lights were related to the sound system. But why then do these lights come on ONLY after about 15 seconds of full volume?
A couple months later (now), my transmission has failed. I'm not saying the transmission failure is directly related to the sound system. The same shop recommended that I have them flush the transmission fluid and change the filters, just to make sure that I don't have problems in the future. This is on a car that had close to 180,000 miles. I bought it with about 160,000 on the clock (which is when I had the fluids changed), and I doubt the previous owner flushed the transmission on a regular basis. Most people I talk to say that flushing the transmission definitely led to the demise of the tranny.
I'm trying to maintain a positive outlook on the situation. At least the car went almost 180,000 miles without any transmission issues, keeping in mind that these cars are notorious for their tranny issues.
Now does anyone in the D/FW area know of a reputable shop that can rebuild these transmissions? Car is a 2003 TL-S. Thanks guys!

OP, did't you make a thread about your tranny issues before?
is your battery good? you might need a new battery, but also upgraded to a more powerful alternator
more then likely you are drawing the battery power so low, that you are introducing power supply issues into modules/computers (some are more sensitive then others (and at startup the vsa/'abs module does not really even need to be powered up, so it can kinda assume it will get more consistent power under normal operating conditions)
and as far as your reputable shop, your local friendly Acura parts department can help you there
and no the dealer does not have to be the ones to pull and replace the tranny for you, basically any confident independent shop should be able to do that for you
