viper 5901 front defroster problem

i have an 03 tl and had a viper 5901 installed. I noticed that my front defroster isn't kicking in. The light goes on but still blows out of the vents. I haven't been able to get my car to the authorized service center. Anyone have the same issue?

Blend door issue? Chk./run HVAC self diag. too.
