Vapor Lock??
Vapor Lock??
So today in So Cal, it was about 100 degrees out. I did a bit of driving, not much. 20 miles tops. Took kid to dinner, 20 minutes later, came out to leave.
Car cranked and cranked, no start. Seemed like no fuel. Did this 4 or 5 times. Finally, I thought, ok, vapor lock?
Loosened up the fuel cap and the car fired right up.
It's a 2003 TL-S with 195k on the clock. I've owned the car since 06 and have never seen this problem over many hot summers here in LA.
Is this a one time incident, or is it a symptom of something more I should have looked at?
Thanks all.
Mike

If it wasnt it means the Immobilizer isnt reading the key. (which you would get similar symptoms that you described of the motor just cranking)
