Urgent tranny help
Urgent tranny help
OK SO!
Either rebuilding my tranny for 950 or replacing it for 950+350 labor!
Which one should I do?
What's the estimated durability of the tranny if I just rebuild it??
If i swap for an 06 Accord, what are my chances that it will be bad and i'll have to pay to get it taken out and putting a new one in again?
Exactly which 06 Accord tranny do I get it from to match bolt-ons? (need the name, engine size, EVERYTHING so that I know exactly which one to buy)
If I do the swap what all do I need and what would be the end result of the cost?? Right now it's estimated for 950for the tranny and 350 labor, but what else do I need to have to make sure it'll work besides the torque converter to come with it?

Rebuild or Replace: this one is clear - you go with the one that has better overall condition. dont forget, rebuild means fix whatever was broken, they dont just replace all the guts. You should search on this one too. many members got the same quoted price and ended up around 2,500 at the en.
Swap is a better choice if you can find the right mechanic to do it. You need to search on swap for what you need. swap is roughly 2,500.

$3400 for a rebuild when they quoted $1500 is typical of shop's estimating repairs.
Hopefully they replaced and upgraded nearly everything wear related within the original tranny.
Most of the times, at the end of the day.....it's the warranty that you are buying.
