Unusual tranmission problem -

Hey I just recently bought a 2001 Acura Cl-S automatic transmission. I am having two weird transmission issues. Cant find anything with the search feature.

1. When put into gear, if I dont stabilize the shifter. it keeps ticking from the shift box and the D on the cluster keeps flashing. What I do for it to not do this is go down to D4 then go up to D5, or press down on it when its in D5 and move the stick a little up or down. Both methods work. I feel like its the shift lock solenoid or something like that?

2.When the car takes off and its shifting from first to second, the car rumbles like if the road got a little rough but its not the road since the car does this every time. Its very slight. No change in rpm. And third every once in a while shifts hard a little bit, not to hard, slightly. Im thinking trasmissions mounts?

Receipts for transmission replacement 30k miles ago.

Well welcome to the tl side of azine, they will probably move the thread to tl side in a little while.

As for the noise from the shifter no idea, but it kinda sounds like a bad torque converter which can cause shaking when you start moving. Maybe a bad pressure switch.

When you say move the stick up or down a little do you mean like Pulling the stick toward the sky or moving it toward N or D4? If you are pulling it toward the sky/ground then something is loose as it should not move that way.

With a little research I found this
https://acurazine.com/forums/problem...d-gear-895699/

its as explained no slipping or anything, could it be the mounts? I check the fluid and it looks clean.

Are you a CL or a TL? This is the TL side of the forum, though basically the same car-you never know who is hanging out where~

Today i realized if i step on it when its in second, the tranny slips.. Idk if its trying to downshift into first or go into third or second gear just cant handle that power.. Am i looking at a new tranny? Should i try to replace the fluid even though it looks clean

Probably will be a waste of time and money on new fluid. Look into the AV6 accord trans swap on this forum
