my transmission just gave out my car is 2000 tl with 111k miles

i took it to a local shop and they want 4k to put a new one in .... im lookin for better ideas then that ... any help with be awesome

 

First- Is your car salvage/rebuilt title???
or a normal regular car

If salvage, disregard this post- if good title read on

your local acura dealer should be able to help you
You are just over the time and miles limits but just barely
Acura corp will often give Goodwill coverage where you pay partial amount of total- starting at $500, and you can buy a 3/36 warranty on the trans for $300- grab that!

Get it over there and let them diagnose- Speak with the Service MANAGER and ask if they can get any Goodwill for you..
