Headlight adjusting - L to R?
Headlight adjusting - L to R?
Someone recently hit my car and fled, causing damage to passenger side bumper, foglight and headlight casing. Well, I got my car back, but the headlight hadn't been aimed properly.
Reading up on the forums, and was able to adjust the up/down. But wasn't able to find the L-R indicator on the black strip in my car. What bolt or how do I adjust the light so it is more centered, right/left-wise.
BTW, I have an '02 TL-S. It seems they are centered per se, but the right headlight it seems brighter more towards the right side (rather than on the top, like how my left headlight is positioned). Is that normal?
thanks in advance.

easy fix. make sure your bulb is in correctly first of all, and if you take off the black plastic piece on the back side of the passenger headlight you should see a silver bolt its a 10mm and on the driver side you'll have to take out some parts to get to that bolt too, i dont remember if loosening it makes it go up or down but play with it
*edit* to add on to this does your headlights have oxidation on them? and did you replace your ballast when you got your car fixed? cause that could of gotten damaged

Thx Aznryda. I'll have to check it out. I had a local auto body place a friend recommended me to handle this. i dont think the headlight has oxidation, and no, the ballast didnt get replaced. just the headlight cover.
