I can't get the trunk release switch to work in my car. I have tried to toggle the switch in the glovebox from on to off but still no luck. The other issue I am having is when I press the lock switch the acutators make a noise but none of the doors actually lock.

Has anyone ever had these types of problems before, that they could make some suggestions.

I just checked and the lock and remote switches will only unlock the doors but not lock them. I wonder if this has anything to do with the trunk release. I also checked the fuses and they seem to be good.

 

i have the same problem. i think while i was removing my center console i might have accidently disconnected the trunk release.

the only good thing about this is that if a theif breaks into your car he cant open the trunk from the inside

Apparently this didn't get answered but I just got the problem. My issue is slightly different however, no door lock troubles.

The trunk button doesn't do anything or make any noise.
I just recently got a new remote and the trunk release does not work on that either.

I checked the Valet thing on "on" and "off" and no change.

I have two possible solutions,
1 - The solenoid in the trunk that pops it is busted
2 - The valet button is broken and may be permenantly stuck on "on" not allowing me to pop it.
