What's your warranty? Take it back to whoever did the work.

Sounds like valve body or solenoids.

that is very close to your warranty terms 12k is where you at or slightly above, don't know how long ago you had them do it, but take it back and complain. a few second delay in 1st gear doesn't sound good at all.

honestly, if my tranny craps out, and they don't replace my tranny for free, car has 118k on it now, i am sueing acura and will turn it into a class action law suit. I was just thinking about this today on the way to work about the BS with our trannies and ya they gave an extended warranty, but its not like its a light bulb and cheap to fix, i think of it as a safety hazard also.

In all honesty i wouldnt even waste my money. They arent obligated to do any thing and you really dont have a leg to stand on trying. Others with far less miles havent even come close to winning. Back when it first started to happen some were lucky enough to have them buy the car back, but they had far less miles.

i wouldnt ask for my money back, just the tranny fixed/replaced. and with a known problem, like the explorer/firestone issue, there is enough evidence that this is more than just extending a warranty to chance it may crap out, it will, its just a matter of time and its unpredictable. if it was a rare instance, thats one thing, but your on your 4th tranny, as far as i know my car is on its 2nd, and many more have had new trannies and are on their 2, 3, 4, hell maybe even 5th. they are fixing our cars, or at least were, with still defective trannies. they even attempted to install that oil whatever it is on the tranny. trust me, i bet if a lawyer took it up, we could get a class action law suit in no time.

thats just it, some have tried and failed. They even Got the NTHSA involved and they didnt do any thing else. Now if you were at a much lower mileage id say go for it but at your mileage ?????? i honestly wouldnt waste my time unless it involved a accident when it failed.

The oil jet was a recall. something that teh NTHSA said they had to do. that is for a complrtly different issue with our tranny and does nothing for the 3rd gear clutchpack problem we all have
