The Royal Purple site DOES NOT indicate it's a replacement for Honda fluid.

I use Honda ATF. If you don't have a high performance transmission or anything, I don't see a reason to spend more money on other brands.

I will be switching to amsoil because IMHO honda z-1 atf is not a premium ATF and amsoil being full synthetic will protect the moving parts in my tranny better. Royal purple is not a replacement for our tranny fluid, but I bet it would not hurt anything.

My why? the fluid in out trannies isnt causing wear or failures, so switching wont help it out.

Honda ATF. I tried other stuff in my '93 Accord many years ago (maybe no comparison to the newer Honda products, but anyway). The tranny did not work right until I changed it back to Honda ATF. Had to change it several times to get the other stuff out of the torque converter. Still runs good. Original tranny with 255,000 miles on it. Changes gears a little harder at times now, but still works. Also, if you did not know, that is ALL you have to do. I read on another thread that there is no filter to change. Just 3 quarts of Honda ATF and you will be good to go. If I am wrong on this, please speak up everyone. I need to know for sure as well.
