Is this a trans (again) or something else?

I had the first at 73K, covered under CPO. Flashing lights, but not stranded. That one failed after 56K at 129K, 70 on the highway, bouncing tach, and mosquito-fogging out the back - blew out all the fluid. Sutton Acura went over and above, covering it all, rental, towing, the works. (After getting the rep involved). I have 40K on this one, which was replaced 7/07, and I think I'm getting some symptoms...hesitancy up hills in 3rd, some hunting for gears intermittently. Yesterday, on the way back from Louisville to Atlanta, cruising at highway speed, I got a CEL and the VSA light and triangle out of nowhere. Stopped, shut the car off, turned it on, and kept going. VSA and triangle went out, check engine stayed on. As long as I was at 70-ish it was fine, even on hills, but when traffic slowed me down and I was under load 55-ish up hill, it happened again - CEL flashing, VSA and the triangle came on, with a slight vibration until I eased off the go-pedal. I got through Chattanooga, and past the hilly part of the trip, and stopped again for gas. Check engine light came back on, but the other two didn't, and got the rest of the way home fine. I don't have a 'real' tester, but the only thing I could get to read a code said bank 1 o2 sensor.
In traffic, the only problem is as I slow for a light, it seems fine, but just before coming to a stop, the rpm's drop to 400-ish, almost a stall, then pick back up - it does 3 cycles of this, then is fine until the next time I stop. Doesn't do it every time, but is more consistent.
My first thought was 3rd gear ging out (trouble at 55 under load, but ok if was around 70), but I haven't been able to duplicate it yet today....maybe on the way home...

check the obvious- get the battery and electrical system tested for free at auto parts stores

Odd to have a trans cause low idle prob but it could happen
2nd and 3rd gear changes are where you feel the clutchpack problem-slippage, not cruising at 70 in 5th...normally

Bank1 O2, maybe you really do have a bad O2 sensor and thats messing the car up big time
Parts stores can check for codes again, usually free,
if unsure consult a local private shop that specializes in acura/honda--see the phone book
Guessing gets expensive

Looks like it's going to be fun to trace...car is acting fine now....I love intermittent problems!! It's a cruel joke anyway, made the last payment Friday. I did see a big difference on the scanners numbers as it was 'reading' the car's symptoms while running. Don't remember the numbers, but bank 1 o2 was reading 40% (of what, I don't know, but maybe you'd recognize a meaning), bank 2 was close to 100%. I couldn't make out the symbols for what it was measuring in percentiles or volume

get the codes read, the computer should store them even if the lights not on.
Sometimes you have to go to acura and pay for them to use their more advanced code reader to get a solution
