Tranny swap anyone?
I have an 02 TLS, Salvage title, Bad tranny.
Acura in Salem wants over $5.000 for a remanufactured unit, (I need motor mounts and ECU replaced also) I would like to swap it with a 6 speed MT from the CLS, I found one for $1,200. I have been unable to find anyone to take the job of installing it. (fsttyms1 need any side jobs?)
So what do you guys think? Should I hope Acura fixed the problem in 2005,
and have them replace mine. Or should I stay focused on finding someone who is capable of doing the swap? Anyone know of anybody on the west coast that would do it? I've got cash.
