headlight replacement
search the forum, there r many threads that teach you how to get it off and get the whole headlight replaced from start to finish.
Luckily for you, i just changed the low beams yesterday, so I still remember the process. After you got the T20 screws off, just twist it according to the arrow indicated on the blackbox.

after you take the black cap off theres a black cover thing it says danger etc and it has 2 screw on it...do i take that off to get to the bulb? i guess i better take d/c the battery?
and how would i get to the driver side bulb...theres a lil vent thing in the way?

Yes you take the screw off, and twist the black piece and it should come off. You dont have to D/C the Battery but to be safe you can. The dirvers side headlight is the hardest side to get at because everything is in the way. I usually just take off the radiator resavior for more space.

After you rotate the large cap off, you twist the smaller bulb connector cap off by rotating it counter-clockwise about 45 degrees. At this point you can see the back of the D2R bulb and it's held in place by a spring loaded clip. The clip is released by pushing it down and moving it slightly to one side to get it off a catch. (If you look at it carefully, you'll figure it out.)
Once the spring clip is released you can pull the bulb out and replace it. Be careful not to touch the glass part of the new bulb since the oils fom your skin can cause a premature failure.
Then reverse all the steps to finish the installation.
If you disconnected the battery, be prepared to enter the security code for your radio and, if you have one, the navigation system.

I agree- ordered new housings for my 01 and will do a proper DIY pic set for all.
From what I have seen, it really is just remove the bolts for the bumper cover and the plastic plugs that hold it and the inner cover in place, then remove approx 5 mounbting screws for housing with special "torx20" screwdriver from walmart, (GM cars use this same srewdriver)
batt needs to be disconnect for safety and lights should not have been used for several hours- they hold a charge of electricty for a few hours min! caution!
