Tranny slips into neutral in first gear

Hi guys i have a rather annoying problem with the my 00tl. It slips off of first gear. To get it driving again i have to switch it from gear to gear manually.

It does so mainly in the following situations:

1. The car is cold, and for the first few minutes if i dont engage the gear right away it starts slipping.
2. When i come to a complete stop and the tranny drops back into first, it at times tends to slip.
3. When i drive on or off a ramp/curb (2 inches) so plaza, my driveway etc... As long as the gear is not engaged the tranny is likely to slip.

Again this happens mostly when the car is not warmed up completely. It currently has 312km or around 190 miles. The tranny was replaced 20km ago. I dont remember when this problem started occurring but it was way prior to tranny replacement. Before it was not as severe though.

My hopefull hypothesis is that its the engine mounts (which have never been replaced) hence engine moves, tranny moves= slipping. I have recently replaced all three of the non vacuum mounts and the problem didnt fade. The front and rear are quite costly hence i want to hear your opinions on this first.

Perhaps it has something to do with the electrical part of the tranny... I don't know :$ Ill appreciate any input.

firstly, i don't think if it's a engine or tranny mount problem. slipping is related to internal clutch wear if i am not wrong take it back to the transmission rebuilt shop for futher inspection.

Check the fluid level make sure it's not low on fluid. Might have a defect internal filter or the low sprag could be worn, it should turn 1 way ( with resistance) and lock the other way, if it's just spin freewheeling then it's n/g. Also worn or undercut 1-2 accumulator body not allowing a seal hydraulic circuit for the 1-2 clutch on secondary shaft. If the fluid is full, take it back to the tranny shop.

ck fluid level from cold= drive 15 minutes on freeway at casual cruise speed
Get off road and safely park on level ground
Engine OFF trans in Park
wipe dipstick and insert fully, remove and ck
Should read between the dots,,towards the upper is fine,,thats max
the warm test is important to get an accurate level indication

Did that.. The level is waaay above the second dot, a good inch i would say. I dipped and wiped it maybe 5 times and it was about an inch above the second dot each time.

As far as i understand the solenoid is the electrical part of the tranny. And i had a feeling that that could be the problem as well. However, what can explain the weather temperature and its variability to how well my tranny works? As i mentioned before, the tranny does not slip nearly as much when its summer-like weather outside.

Could you please go into further detail regarding the solenoid and what i could do to maybe troubleshoot the problem.

when tested as directed,, 15 minutes freeway drive from cold- stop engine--

that can be source of major problems!!!
they may have put in 8 qts as rebuild,,it holds 7.3

i had the same problem and initially thought it was the 1stHold sprag issue. After replacing the sprag, it stillo did it. Turns out I should have verified the 1st clutch clearance. Even though I used new clutch plates and metals, the clearance was wayyyy off. It was supposed to be 1.1-1.3mm, and I has something like 2.9mm.

the culprit it tuns out was the 1st clutch disk spring. It was worn out. $13 parts and 30 hrs of labor!
