Hey I have a problem with my '99 acura 32.tl

As i accelerate from a complete stop...when the engine starts to shift to second gear or the third it begins to whine like it is trying to shift but it wont shift then it finally shifts and the car has a jerk to it especially when i gas it to the floor..

Like when i gas it to the floor off the line the jerk becomses stronger as the car shifts but once i get up to like 60 to 80 the jerking stops....

Any ideas of what this can be?

 

sounds bad- try this: if you are cruising at 25 and 35 light throttle then stand on it- does it downshift with authority into 2nd gear and launch- or does it rev and not engage for a few seconds or slips like a bad clutch feels

4 speed or 5 speed?

 

It sounds like tranny issue. Have you ever change the fluid?
