Tranny Problem

This is my first post. I have 2000 TL with Navi. I am on my third tranny.
Last week my 2nd tranny failed completely. First tranny was replaced in warranty with car having 75K miles. Last week I went to the Acura dealer to complain about the tranny failing again after 42K miles. Now I have 117650 miles and out of warranty. After some complaining, Acura Corporate agreed to replace the tranny and cover 75% of cost. So it cost me $750 to get another tranny. I just hope that this third one will last longer.

My question is: I went to ALL Transmission world and they tell me that if I add a tran cooler will save my tranny from any more problems. Should I spend the $200 they are asking for a tranny cooler?

Thanks for any replay.

The post Feb-05 trasmissions should have the problem fixed. No need for a tranny cooler. Did you have the oil jet kit installed in the 1st and 2nd ones? When did you have the 2nd tranny installed?

You should have the latest updated trans now with the revised parts. A trans cooler wont do any thing to save the trans, nor would it have helped your past trans.
