Too much reving!!!
Too much reving!!!
Hey guys whats up. I have a question I started my tl-type-s the other day . And the car was revving 5,000 rpms in the park position, does anybody have an idea what could it be? Thnx Hit my back up Tl owners.
What year is your TL how many miles
what did it do before this
Did you do any repair work
How long until RPM went down
Did you look at the throttle cable assembly under the engine cover
It could be throttle position sensor or cold start valve or any number of things
Try auto parts store to pull codes and get back with the results
OR if newer car go direct to dealer
You have a serious issue
5000 anytime is alot cold- asking for trouble

Dont let it do this again!
Take it to an independant shop, or if you are good with the guys at parts store- have them pull the codes. Codes are not a diagnosis- but a set of syptoms
It sounds seriuos enough to merit a few dollars at the shop, sorry
