There's a frog trapped in the drivers side suspension.....

Hi All :

Anyone had a creak/moan that happens when the suspension travels up and down ? I can even reproduce it by bouncing up and down on the fender. Is there a part I can quickly lubricate without taking off the wheel ? (I know, faint hope...)

On a related note, earlier I had the car in for a oil change at one of those cheap quickie places and they told me the Acura has no suspension grease points. Is this true ?

Thanks to all once again for your help.

Mine has a frog too. I lubed the bushings but that didn't fix the problem. My shocks are like new and I took them out and they are still good. Not sure where else to find. I checked every joint and they are good, and all nuts and bolts are tight.

might depend on the material used for the bushings - through other sources, I've heard complaints about urethane bushings being squeaky in applications where they twist, and neoprene is better - maybe a guru here would know what Honda used......(?)

Urethane bushing squeaks can always be quieted by frequent grease lubrication or teflon tape wrapping.

My car has had this noise for about 5 years - only when it's cold - it doesn't do it when you push on the suspension. I assumed its the springs "creaking" because of the cold temp outside.

Unless you're talking about the frog noise you get a few seconds after you put the car into drive or reverse.......i still haven't figured out what that one is, but mine has been doing that for over 9 years.

I think that is the ABS self Check. When this noise happens it runs the ABS for about a sec.
