Thanks! A/C fix

2001 TL 3.2

Air conditioning stopped working the other day. I found blower would only run on high speed and compressor nor condenser fan would run. After researching the forum, I started checking the relays and fuses, all good. Pulled the resistor on blower and it was badly corroded on plate. Replaced it, but not wiring harness it looked fine, no sign of heat damage. After replacing resistor all is well now. Apparently if the resistor goes bad it won't let the compressor clutch engage either. Anyway just wanted to thank everyone for the helpful info on the board.

Right near the blower motor & harness connector, located under the glovebox.

Awesome it's pretty cool to have a place like AZ for all this information to be shared. Think what you saved by not having to pay someone to fix the AC for you.

I have the same issue as my blower isn't working at all. I can hear the compressor engage quickly then go out and no blower at all. Replaced the resistor and still no blow. So I should replace the harness from the resistor to the blower too? Hope I've read your comments correctly. THanks.

I agree. I'm sure this site has saved me thousands of dollars over the years. I've never had a problem I couldn't find information on here.

Check all the electrical connections......fuses and relays, etc.

The blower motor's wiring harness is a common issue, check the "DIY" sticky and search other pertinent threads for more info.
