My TCS and check engine light both went on after I started up my 1999 Acura TL yesterday. It runs rough all of a sudden now and vibrates on braking and acceleration. Any feedback or thoughts.

 

Could be MANY things. The best thing to do is go to a auto parts store and have them read the codes for free for you . Once you know them we can help better with out just guessing.

That said if i had to guess, it could be a P0401 EGR insufficient flow which is most likely clogged EGR passages.

 

99 had a recall to clean the egr passage and port- call acura to see if it was ever done

Have the car scan for codes, it's telling you something.

 

If you live anywhere in the usa except Cal- a parts store will do a code scan for free
Those are not diagnosis they are CLUES

Ca has smog laws and prevents loaning of tool- but you can buy a code reader!
