is this the switch?

I never had a problem with my ignition switch before I had the recall done. I had the recall done in 03, and now I'm having some issues, and I want to make sure it's the switch, and not something else. Before you say it, I had my mechanic look @ it, and run it through the computer. he couldn't get it to reproduce any of the symptoms I described, nor did any codes pop up. TO NOTE, I was deployed for several months, and I accidentally left my key in the auxiliary position. killed the battery, and corroded everything. I replaced the battery, cleaned the terminals, and everything was good to go. the problems started not too long after, so here it is.

it started out by just randomly shutting off on me while driving. it would shut off for a split second, but it would always cut right back on. the instrument panel would reset, and the key light would pop on, and the car would beep like when you start it up. still does that on occasion, but it's sporadic @ best. recently, the car has cut off on me @ a light, and pulling into a parking spot, and I have actually had to put it in park, and restart it. it has restarted every time. HOWEVER, this evening, I came out of the store, and tried to start the car. it started, and cut off immediately. tried it again, same result. on my 4th attempt it finally stayed on. I drove to a new location turned the car off, went into the store, came out, and it started right up. I am guessing it's the switch. If it were the alternator or starter I don't think the car would keep starting up and driving normally. let me hear what you fellas think. thanks

99.9% its your ignition. Many have had the recall switch fail.

I concur, ignition switch.

Simple job with exception of the mystery screw.

yeah, I took apart the panels the other day to see if I could figure it out. looks pretty straight forward. hopefully the part will arrive today or tomorrow, and I'll switch it out then. took the car in to get a nice wash, clay, polish, wax today. puttin new rotors and pads on it tomorrow. sea foamed everything but the oil monday, and gonna seafoam the oil and everything again before the next oil change. also got the a new timing belt and water pump, so hopefully the car will be ready for another 100K. thanks for the reassurance fellas
