So I finally finished "retaining the stock Bose sub with an aftermarket headunit" mod....Now all of a sudden whenever the bass hits the driver side rear door handle rattles..On the outside, not the inside...It makes a terrible noise.
Has anybody else experienced this? Any solutions?

 

does it sound like a metal rod is rattleing inside the door???

if so, got the same problem, it does bother me occasionally, but i don't really notice it anymore , so not really worth it for me pulling off the door panel

 

More or less, yeah. But when I got home I left the radio playing loud and got out of the car, when I hold the outer door handle the noise stops and when I release it the noise comes back...wtf

 

pulling the door handle is taking the slack out of the linkage (aka that metal rod) which is why it stops rattling,

if you really want to fix it, pull out that linkage and bend the ends slightly so it has a snugier fit to it, in it's clips

btw: i mainly here mine more on the shitty roads here (has really good tire ruts in the lane from not being paved for years), then from my sub

 

I see. I will try that when I get some time... And yeah, when the sub hits is when it acts up for me.
