studdering than shuts off

studdering than shuts off

today i got into my car from getting a hair cut and when i started it started than started studdering and idling really low to the point it just shuts off. ill give it gas and the rpm will go up than do the same thing. ill like have to just throw it in drive and drive than it will stop. its been happen a couple times now. iono what it could be

i havent checked the vacuums yet but i cleaned the egr like 6 months ago and i havent clean the iacv.

and it only happens like once a week so iono if i could be a vac cause if it was shouldnt it happen all the time

i have the same problem and i think it's the iacv...gonna try take it out and clean it with some brake clean. i'll let you know how it goes.

yes vaccum leaks don't come and go usually but can if it is occuring while hot only, if the car is cold and it does it and then stops that's not a vaccum leak and most likely IAC causing the problem.

If it happens after it's been driven and got hot then sits 10-15 minutes and it occurs then it could be a vaccum leak. Parts are expanding from the heat and creating the leak.

Potentially a very obvious thing, but did you check your filter?

Seen a filter so dirty and clogged that the engine kept shutting off and threw a TPS error code. True story.

If the airway is fine, then I would suspect the IACV.

no the air filter is fine ima prob try taking the iac out and cleaning it

i've never seen that but i guess something to keep in mind for reference in the future.

I had that problem, turns out it was just a bad tank of gas I got downtown. Just added some fuel cleaner on my next tank. Never happened since.

My car has the same problem every winter it the gas....I have had it tested at Acura they even put a cpu on my car for a week to see if there were any other problems. If you call your dealer they are should have an ifnlux of vehicals with the same problem.
