strut bar....
strut bar....
anyone know where i can find a strut bar for my 03 tls? im not talking about the one in the engine bay..... it's the bar that goes from the bottom of the lower control arm and bolts to the frame under the front of the car.... if i had a diagram i could show...... oh yeah and passenger side....
neither...... it's a straight bar that kinda has a curve to it..... it bolts to the passenger side lower control arm and runs to the FRONT of the car where it has a pointed end with threads on it..... there a place attached to the frame up front that the bar slides through and is secured in place with a nut. most parts stores called it a "strut bar" or "radius arm" but not carry it. it's a factory part not aftermarket like the brace bars shown above....

just choose what model and stuff and simple...
Also, is the Cusco stuff HeelToe sells any good? Don't know any one that has one and usually hear people buying the Nuespeed or Comptech or Progess.... any info is appreciated...
to the OP: what is wrong with your existing radius rod? Did it get damaged?
Not to thread jack, but is the brace the same as a strut or sway bar?

yeah it's salvage and took a hit to the pass front..... not real bad but guess that's the one part they didn't replace..... it's pushing the weel back about 1/8th inch..... still lines up but looks kinda funny.... doesn't look to hard to replace..... i hope..... knock knock
will need an alignment after- may be easier to let the alignement shop do the install for you
Cusco bars upper and lower are on my 01TL- lower bar immedialty reduces frame flex- makes for stable quick lane changes. The upper bar goes to the strut tower and tightens handling more but not as noticable as lower-
They keep the suspension mount points from moving as weight loads and transfers, so the alignment stays the same
Well worth the money- the lower should be mandatory IMO
Yes it may get dragged on sharp angles if you are lowered, it sits a little lower than the cat, but it also protects the cat by taking the scrape

How did you damage the sway bar above?
Tom, How long have you had the upper and lowers on your ride? Also, if I just change out the front lower and upper and leave the rear stock, would that be a problem? or should I change the sway bars for both the rear and front and leave the strut bar (front) stock? Let me know ya'lls opinion....
