Spilled Drink!

I've been a long term browser here at AZ, finally got around to joining yesterday. Today I just spilled a cup full of Pepsi and ice ALL over the gear shifter up to the heated seats and that little storage area. What concerns me is how fast the liquid drained, I was worried that it got into something and messed it up. I wiped and vacuumed all of the liquid and ice out, and got everything i could see dry as a bone. Is there anything else i should do? Or just let it evaporate in the hot car....

If you want to take the center console trim and sides off it then you can get to the shifter area and wipe down and clean that area.

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I think I'll see if everything is still ok tomorrow before i start taking the trim off, and if I do need to clean it I'll use that electrical cleaner.

Oh ok man thanks for the heads up. I read you gotta get the shift knob off to get the shift gate out, but i have been having a hard time getting the knob off... i know you just turn it but its really stubborn and doesnt wanna come off, and i'm afraid that i'm gonna break the thing. is there any other technique to taking it off? or just keep turning it as hard as i can?

the switches you need to access for cleaning are under/the bottem side of a plastic plate right below the shifter- access thru side panels
