Once again It's Kazai..
My TL is like dying on me..
I think..

Well one morning we were going to go somewhere and we realized that the Dash/Speedometer doesn't work? and we cannot tell if we have gas or not..

It just suddenly shut down on me
I think it's the fusebox or the fuse exploded or whatever,
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? It would be great..
if you could kindly please help me.

Just please leave a comment below ASAP,
And is there a thread of a DIY on how to fix it?

I removed the 3rd one from the far right row.
I'll keep you guys up to date, still trying to fix it at this very moment I'll upload more pictures asap!

so you lost operation of fuel guage? and temp guage?
have you looked at each fuse box area- used a test light to make sure all were ok?
did any work recently- like just before those quit?

regarding your signature:
they all came with vtec~ spolier is part of the type S package

My dad was the Second owner.. so your saying I have a type s? if it has a spoiler? but theres no badge? :S

anyways, I cleaned and took out each fuse and plugged all of them in.

 

does it have navigation/gps...another type S tipoff although option on P cars
type S has a different engine cover too- ck some member pics to see which yours matches or register your car on acura.com owners and learn more about it

insurance card probably says too,,or the real insurance papers, type S often pays higher rate for its 35 extra hp

02 S owners chime in?

 

note: thats a Canada spec car--so 02 S Canuks please help a ziner figure out what they have

 

Did you TEST the fuses with a multimeter or test light--they can fool you visually
cleaned them? sandpaper??

Did you find the one for fuel sendor or fuel guage,,panel guages,etc
also ck relays for same items

were not working on radio or other parts recently?

 

He does not have the type s. The spoiler was also put on the TL-p.

As for the problem. Have you checked all your fuses? You dont clean off fuses. were any of them blown? What fuse box were you checking? There are 3 of them. Do any of your gauges work or did the whole cluster die?

 

Also an option on S types.

Well the some dashboard lights work it's the speedometer aka the guage.

I can't see the KM/RPM/Gas.

Ok, I don't have a test light I do have a multimeter.
How much would a test light cost?
Yeah the third one on the 2nd row is for Instrument Lights right?

I opened the fuse box by the drivers seat on the left.

I will no longer attempt to distinguish type S cars

a very basic multimeter, or simple 12volt test light,,5-10 dollars at parts stores
try canadian tire..tell them you need to test fuses in a car

then test all the other fuse boxes

 

since you have not stated any work was done just before this happened:

a fuse blows from too much power thru the circuit
or a break in a power wire allowed electricity to jump to metal/ground and blow a fuse
or a ground for that part of the system is loose, and popped the fuse

so--fess up--ANY work done on the car at all before this happened?
or you hit a bunch of potholes in the road (do they have those in Canada?,,potholes,, not roads)

Yes there are potholes like there like speed bumps and they mess up your wheel and they are cracks correct?

Yeah my dad drives around it.. to avoid them.
No work has been done before this happened.. Ill test it out with the Test Light.

 

What was the resolution to this problem? I just had the same thing happen to me. :/

 

Type S tl's also have a WHITE gauge face..
