Speed sensor?

I took the old speed sensor out the one to the right is the old one and i was going to replace it with the one to the left but its shorter than the one to the right. Is this the correct speed sensor to replace? I got the P0715 code.

Well I had to put the long sensor back in , the short one wasnt allowing my gears to change into 3rd gear and up the Rpms would just rise but the gears was not switching.

I have I didn't need to pull out the longer speed sensor I guess there's a input and output speed sensor on the transmission I thought there was only 1 and I pulled it to replace and it was much longer than the one I had
