^ Possible, but that is not a cat code but an evap, maybe your gas cap is not tight

seal on gas cap is good?

seafoam thru the intake at 2000 rpm will create a smoke cloud that immedialty locates any exhaust leaks for you!
found one on neighbors car that way

muffler shops will ck the system for you,,do shops in Canada offer those free?

or old school: try stuffing a wadded up shop rag against the tailpipe at idle.
engine should bog down and try to shut off very quickly.. if there are no leaks~

The leak is coming from the flange at the Y pipe.

yeah... whats a little carbon monoxide poisening between friends~

PLEASE,, put a $15 house carbon monoxide detector in the car--(later install in house)
fumes will enter the car from leaky exhaust!
that stuff makes you drowsy and can knock you out,,
the resulting crash will negate any need for exhaust upgrades~

Here's what the code means ;

P1457 EVAP Control System Leak Detected (Control Canister System)

This means you have lost/losing pressure in the evap system and are venting gas fumes. Not dangerous, just not eco-friendly. I've has this code and I changed the canister and the shut valve attached on the side of the canister.

The above code has nothing to do with an exhaust leak. I recently had the same issue and it seems that the exhaust flanges are made of a different metal than the pipes. All three of my flanges rusted out while the pipes were still in relatively good shape. I had my local exhaust shop replace all the flanges with short over-sized pieces of S/S pipe, then welded all the way round on both ends. I know it removes the ability to replace the exhaust in sections, but for less than $100 it will do until the whole exhaust is toast.
