Sound while at idling in D4
Sound while at idling in D4
I have recently noticed that my car makes a humming sound while idling in D4 with the air conditioner on. If it is making the noise and I put it in park, it immediately goes away. It also goes away if I turn off the A/C.
In my RSX, it made a simliar noise and they said that it is the compressor and that Honda comressors are known to make this noise (this was after I had a whole new A/C system put in the RSX.
It is not loud, but it is noticible from inside. It makes a groaning sound and it is in some way attached to the A/C compressor.
My question is does this have to do with my timing belt or water pump, or is this normal? Is the A/C putting strain on something else that is causing this noise?
